Biography
유성민은 아주대학교 교통시스템공학과에서 학사(2024.08.)를 취득하고, 아주대학교 일반대학원 D.N.A.플러스융합학과 교통공학전공에서 석사(2026.02.)를 취득했습니다. 석사과정 동안 교통 돌발상황의 시·공간적 영향권 분석을 중심으로 연구를 수행하였으며, 석사학위논문으로 「다중 공간전이 모델 기반의 교통 돌발상황 영향권 계층 분류 연구」를 작성했습니다. 석사과정 동안 제2차 자율주행 교통물류 기본계획 수립 연구용역(2024.07.~2024.12.)에 참여하였으며, 경찰청 R&D 과제인 자율주행 순찰 서비스 개발 연구에도 참여하여 교통 돌발상황 발생 시 영향권 판단 알고리즘 개발을 담당하였습니다. 현재는 박사과정(2026.03.~)에 진학하여 동 R&D 과제를 지속적으로 수행 중입니다.
Sungmin Yoo received a B.S. in Transportation Systems Engineering from Ajou University (Aug. 2024) and an M.S. in Transportation Engineering from the Department of D.N.A.+ Convergence at Ajou University Graduate School (Feb. 2026). During the master's program, the primary research focus was on spatio-temporal impact zone analysis for traffic incidents. The master's thesis, titled "Development of a Multi-Stage Spatial Transition-Based Method for Hierarchical Classification of Traffic Incident Impact Zones," investigated an integrated framework for quantifying the propagation and recovery of incident-induced congestion. During the master's program, Yoo participated in a research project on the Establishment of the 2nd Basic Plan for Autonomous Driving Transportation and Logistics (Jul. 2024–Dec. 2024), and was also involved in a National Police Agency R&D project on autonomous patrol service development, serving as a key contributor to the development of impact zone identification algorithms for traffic incident response. Currently, Yoo is pursuing a Ph.D. (Mar. 2026–) and continues to work on the aforementioned R&D project.
