Study on the Establishment of the Second Master Plan for Autonomous Driving-Based Transportation and Logistics

제2차 자율주행 교통물류 기본계획 수립 연구

Client: Korea Transportation Safety Authority
Lead Institution: Ajou University
Researchers: Sungmin Yoo, Joonho Park, Jaehyun (Jason) So

Role of Ajou University

1. Collection and organization of data on policy/legislation, industry/market, services, technology (R&D, AI, V2X), and infrastructure (C-ITS, HD maps), deriving key implications through PEST/SWOT and diagnosis of pilot operation outcomes. 2. Establishment of vision, goals, and strategies → derivation of task packages (4-5 groups) and design of task cards (5W1H, implementing bodies, yearly plans) → establishment of a roadmap and KPIs (upper/lower bounds) and presentation of the 2030 vision

Project Description

1. Investigation of the domestic and international status of autonomous transportation and logistics - Analysis of autonomous driving policies, legal systems, and roadmaps (Korea, US, Europe, China, etc.) - Identification of technology and industry trends and reflection of expert consultation - Derivation of analysis reports on institutions/policies, industry, services, technology, and infrastructure (M3) 2. Analysis of domestic and international conditions, in-depth diagnosis, and derivation of implications - In-depth analysis of socioeconomic indicators, traffic status, and market/technology status - Investigation of internal and external factors and diagnosis of limitations based on PEST/SWOT - Derivation of pilot operation outcomes and limitations, and strategy proposal for reflection in the second plan (M3) 3. Preparation of the draft master plan for autonomous transportation and logistics - Alignment with mid- to long-term government visions and differentiation from higher-level plans - Stakeholder demand surveys, reflection of government policies, and detailed implementation plans by task - Short- to long-term roadmap, performance indicators, and the 2030 vision for autonomous driving (M5)
